Series X were originally designed for ‘Meanwhile projects’, organised and sponsored by The City of Reykjavík - the idea was to make outdoor benches to revive forgotten picnic spots in the outskirts of Reykjavik, the X shape representing a ‘meeting spot’. Series X has since developed from being a temporary project installation into becoming a piece of furniture, accessible to others. The materials used are sturdy enough for outdoor use and smart enough for indoor use.
